How It Works

About the Dishes
Jollof Rice with Roasted Chicken — Long-grain rice slow-cooked in a rich tomato, pepper and spice base, served with golden roasted chicken. Ghana's most celebrated dish, smoky, vibrant and deeply satisfying.
Waakye with Assorted Beef — Rice and black-eyed beans cooked with waakye leaves for a distinctive earthy depth, served with tender assorted beef in a spiced tomato stew and a side of shito pepper sauce. Ghana's ultimate street food, bold and comforting.
Key Ingredients
Jollof Rice: Long-grain parboiled rice, plum tomatoes, red bell peppers, scotch bonnet, onions, garlic, ginger, roasted chicken, sunflower oil, bay leaves, thyme, chicken stock, salt & pepper.
Waakye: Long-grain rice, black-eyed beans, waakye leaves (sorghum stalks), assorted beef, plum tomatoes, onions, garlic, ginger, shito (black pepper sauce), sunflower oil, mixed spices, salt & pepper.
Microwave Cooking Instructions (3 Minutes)
- Remove sleeve. Pierce film lid several times.
- Microwave on full power (800W) for 3 minutes.
- Carefully peel back film, stir, and leave to stand for 1 minute.
- Serve and enjoy!
Oven: 180°C / Fan 160°C / Gas 4 — 25 minutes from frozen.
Keep Frozen. Do not refreeze once thawed. Once opened, consume immediately.
